Grail SPRINGS MORNING Mantra PRACTICE
Grail Springs Morning Mantra Video – 6 minutes
Gratitude, Humility, Grace and Reverence, all words that I have come to know as the language and expressions of the soul, connecting you directly with the Source. Speaking these words, invoking these words, living these words, ignites the Light of the Soul within. As this source of electromagnetic energy fires and increases through the use of thought and invocation, its impressions are felt both by the individual and those around them as feelings (energy) emanating from the centre of their heart chakra. A powerful invocation like The Grail World Mantra activates and releases the energy not only in the heart chakra but also the throat chakra and the head chakra. This practice activates a process in which you find your place between the subconscious and the super conscious, called self consciousness, a monumental moment in an individual’s path of spiritual evolution. This is often referred to in the arcane as ‘The Awakening’.
With appreciation to Deva Premal and Miten for granting permission to use Aad Guray for this film.
Sequence Instructions
First choose a space that inspires you. Then choose a song that inspires you. It is our tradition at Grail Springs to play 'Aad Guray' (I bow to the Primal Wisdom) by Diva Premal and Miten, one of the most moving and soul inspiring compositions ever recorded. This mantra comes from the sacred writings of the Sanskrit. We have sold hundreds and hundreds of copies of this stunning CD ~ Dakshina. Write out these four words and place each of them on the corresponding wall in the following directions: East for Gratitude, North for Humility, West for Grace, and South for Reverence. Feel free to create your own that have meaning to you. The track is 6 minutes long, so each segment for each direction lasts about a minute and a half.
- Facing east, start by standing straight, legs together, and arms by your side. Breathe deeply throughout this entire practice in a relaxed state, using long and smooth breaths. Stretch and raise your arms out and up to the heavens and hold.
- Bring arms down to your shoulders then forward, moving into a squat (knees bent, weight back on heels, toes up), join hands together stretched out in front of bowed head. Repeat number 1 & 2 two more times.
- Straighten up and now standing tall, move into a balancing pose or tree pose. Follow this by moving slowly onto your other leg, shoulders back, hold, and then straighten up standing tall again.
- Complete this routine by bringing hands together in a prayer pose. Bow and let your final thoughts or invocation go. Then turn and move facing the next direction. Repeat this routine each direction starting with east and finishing with south.
Each time you face a new direction, attempt to embody the essence of the corresponding word. Fill your heart and mind with the wholeness of their meaning; first gratitude, humility, grace, and then ending with reverence. When in gratitude for instance, feel gratitude. Close your eyes and thoughtfully allow images to come to mind about everyone and everything that you feel grateful for in your life. Invite the feelings that relate to each word to wash over you, around you, and through you. The experience and outcome can be described as quite stunning to most people. Choosing the right piece of music that truly inspires you is very important as the frequency of music, notes and sounds correspond to certain frequencies of the chakra system. And the louder the better we say!
